We are looking for an organised, highly motivated and engaging project manager who has experience with coordinating project processes, and a passion for working with organisations and individuals towards the common goal of closing the opportunity gaps in early childhood. This is a full-time position based in Cape Town. The starting date is flexible, but we’d love to get you on board as soon as possible.
About the role
We have a suite of digitally enabled data collection tools that allows organisations (“users”) to assess the quality of early learning in home and programme settings, and to gauge whether young children are developmentally on track. We also have a well-defined user journey, designed to enable users with varying levels of expertise to collect and use data effectively.
We are looking for a project manager who would oversee the journey of an organisation that uses our tools from start to finish. They would coordinate and manage the user’s experience together with our data and user support teams, as well as act as the contact point for the user. In addition to managing our existing user base, the project manager would be responsible for expanding our reach as well as building systems and processes that are geared towards scale.
The ideal candidate would be great at project management and administration, networking with existing and potential users, and representing DataDrive2030 at various events and forums. They should have excellent communication skills and experience in managing multiple projects at once.
The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to engage well with external stakeholders and have considerable experience and networks in the ECD sector. We are looking for a problem solver who can take initiative and manage both routine and out-of-the-ordinary tasks with accuracy and interest.
Please note that this is an EE appointment.

- Able to adapt to changing parameters
- Someone curious about and comfortable with technology
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask

- Willingness and ability to travel to meet with current and potential users
Key responsibilities
Support and manage ELOM user requests and the overall user experience
- Manage the user journey (in collaboration with the user team) from inquiry to completion, including:
- Inquiry and application: respond to user requests within agreed timeframes and review user applications in line with team capacity and organisational priorities.

- Reporting: Assist with preparing and sharing user reports within agreed-upon timeframes. Alert the team as soon as possible if there are any delays impacting our ability to meet agreed-upon commitments.
- User resources: Assist with the development of user resources and guides as needed, based on user experience. Help with the building and maintaining a resource bank to be shared with users to support programme enhancements on data insights in the user reports.
- Communication: communicate with users throughout the user journey to ensure they are kept informed, and any issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Feedback and project completion: Ensure that user feedback is collected as per agreed protocols and that user experiences inform continued enhancements to our tools, assessor training and user journey.
