Overview
This Insights Brief explores whether structured classroom observations combined with personalised feedback can improve the quality of Early Learning Programmes (ELPs). Drawing on a pilot involving 147 ELPs, the findings show that personalised reports and in-person feedback sessions were associated with significant improvements in programme quality across all five measured domains, even in the absence of intensive coaching or mentoring.
The brief highlights the potential of assessment-for-improvement approaches and offers practical lessons for organisations seeking scalable ways to strengthen ELP quality.
